President's Letter

Welcome to Travel Adventures!

Dear Fellow Educators:

Not long ago, as I got on board a commercial jet, the flight attendant greeted me.  "Hello, Mr. Snyder."

I was a little surprised, but responded, "Hi there.  How do you know me?"

"Eighth-grade English.  I had you for a class."

"I remember" (and I did!). "That was a long time ago.  I'm surprised you remembered."

Then she told me what she remembered most.  "It was the last day before spring break.  I told you I hadn't read the book for the book report and wouldn't be turning it in.  You told me, "I don't think so," and called my dad.  He took me to check out a book before we left on vacation, and made me read the book all the way as our family drove to Florida, and write the report on the way back."

Teachers shape young lives, sometimes through what they expect of youth, and other times because of the possibilities to which they expose them.

Much of this learning comes from the classroom, but take one step outside the school and it becomes evident that education should and must extend beyond books, computers and yes, even teachers.  That is why, after 12 years as an educator, I founded Travel Adventures.

With emphasis on science, the arts, culture, friendship and, most importantly, fun, our journeys encourage students to interpret, examine, calculate and embrace their surroundings.  From discovering our National Heritage in Washington DC to exploring the multi-cultural Mecca that is New York City, Travel Adventures creates learning experiences.

We create a hassle-free travel experience.  We take care of every detail so you are left to enjoy the journey and the looks on your student's faces when they get their first eyeful of the Washington Monument or a Broadway musical.

Encourage your students to travel and you will create opportunities that they'll remember for the rest of their lives.

Sincerely,

Dave Snyder

President
